2023 Gerler Blanc de blancs Sparkling

Swings and roundabouts... This is a wine that our mates in King Valley helped us with a couple of years ago.  During a recent EOFY stocktake, half a pallet of this stuff was found in the back of the shed in VIC, so - back from the dead - this 2023 Blanc de blancs rides again!  Made from 100% Chardonnay (well, almost, there's a tiny splash of Savagnin), followed by 18 months on lees before disgorging.  A light touch of sugar to balance the palate at the dosage stage and you end up with this - eminently smashable bubbly, fancy enough for any occasion, but not so fancy that it spends its life in the pool room.  Made for drinking!
